1. Scope
These terms apply to all services of Morceauxnode B.V., trading as Morceauxnode, at Overtoom 301, 1054 GL Amsterdam (KvK 63085050, VAT NL865589860B01), unless agreed otherwise in writing.
A consumer is a natural person acting outside trade or profession. A business client is any other customer. Mandatory consumer law prevails over conflicting clauses.
Order of precedence: (1) the signed or email-confirmed quote, (2) these terms, (3) our privacy policy and, for business clients supplying third-party personal data, the data processing agreement. Company details are in legal notice.
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Studio | The recording rooms and technical facilities of Morceauxnode at Overtoom 301. |
| Session | An agreed time slot for recording or in-studio work with an engineer. |
| Quote | Written proposal with description, date, duration, price including VAT, deposit and any special terms. |
| Services | Including Vocal recording, Live band recording, Mixing, Mastering and Podcast and dialogue recording, as described under services and on vocal recording, live band recording and podcast recording. |
| Files | Audio, project data and exports created or supplied during the job. |
| Business day | Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the Netherlands. |
3. Quotes and formation
A request via contact, phone or email leads to a quote we aim to send within 2 business days. The quote is valid for 2 business days unless another period is stated. The slot is reserved after written acceptance (email is enough) and receipt of the deposit under article 5.
Website prices are indicative, for example €325 for a half-day vocal session or €545 for mastering an album up to twelve tracks. The quote prevails if figures differ. Only confirmed bookings are binding; tours or listening tests do not oblige you to book.
4. Prices and VAT
Prices on the site and in quotes are in euros, including VAT at 21% for consumers unless stated otherwise. Business clients receive invoices with VAT broken out; net amounts follow €78.51 and comparable net rates on the quote.
Extra hours beyond the booked block are charged only after verbal confirmation during the session, at the hourly rate for that service (for example €125 for band recording). Travel, parking or special deliverables are listed on the quote in advance.
5. Deposit and payment
When booking, you pay a deposit of 30% of the quoted amount including VAT. The deposit is offset against the balance. Payment is by bank transfer; card payment in the studio is available when the terminal is working.
Consumers pay the balance at the end of the session or when offline work (mix/master) is delivered. Business clients pay within 14 days of the invoice date unless the quote states otherwise. Late payment may incur statutory commercial interest and reasonable collection costs.
Until full payment we may withhold final masters or download links; raw session data follows the archiving rules in article 9.
6. Cancellation, rescheduling and no-show
| Timing | Effect |
|---|---|
| More than 7 days before the session | Free cancellation or move; deposit refunded within 14 days if you cancel. |
| Within 7 days | Deposit is forfeited unless we rebook the slot for another client; then we refund proportionally. |
| Same-day cancellation or no-show | Full session fee due, minus deposit already paid. |
Send requests in time via [email protected] or 020 789 0416. Force majeure under article 14 is outside this table.
7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you as a consumer conclude a distance contract (email, phone, form), you generally have 14 days to withdraw without giving reasons, under EU consumer rules as implemented in the Netherlands.
If you explicitly ask us to start the session before that period ends, you pay a proportionate amount for work already performed if you withdraw. After full performance, the right of withdrawal expires when you agreed in advance to early start and acknowledged that the right lapses once the service is fully delivered.
Notify withdrawal in writing to [email protected] or by post to Overtoom 301, 1054 GL Amsterdam. Refunds are made within 14 days using the same payment method where possible.
8. Running sessions
Opening hours: Monday–Friday 09:30–18:30, Saturday by appointment. Closed on Sunday.. Sessions start at the agreed time; arriving late shortens your booked time without discount unless the engineer agrees otherwise in writing.
The studio is set up for adult professionals and artists; minimum age for independent booking is 18. Younger participants are welcome with a supervising adult who takes responsibility for safety and payment.
You use equipment and rooms carefully and follow engineer instructions. No smoking or vaping indoors. We may stop a session for dangerous behaviour or serious disruption; fees remain due. Damage to studio property through intent or gross negligence is charged to you.
Practical tips: vocal warm-up before recording; band budgets in band recording budget guide.
9. Files, delivery and archiving
Unless the quote says otherwise, we deliver recordings and mixes as 24-bit WAV via secure download or on media you provide. Offline mix/master deadlines start when complete, usable stems arrive; see file formats for mixing.
We keep session and project copies for up to 24 months after the last activity on the job, then delete them unless you order extended storage in writing for a separate fee. You remain responsible for your own backups.
10. Revisions
For Mixing (mixing), 2 revision rounds are included as on the service page; for Mastering (mastering), one revision round is included in the standard price. A round is one bundled list of notes processed in one pass.
Extra rounds or a new artistic direction after approval are quoted separately. We do not offer unlimited free revisions; see FAQ.
11. Liability
We perform work with the care expected of a professional recording studio. Artistic outcome also depends on your preparation, material and choices; we do not guarantee a chart result. See disclaimer.
Our liability for direct loss is capped at the invoice amount for that job, except for intent, wilful recklessness or personal injury. For business clients, indirect loss, lost profit and missed releases are excluded where law allows.
You are responsible for rights in music, samples, covers and performers you bring in.
12. Intellectual property
Your works. Compositions, lyrics and existing recordings remain yours or your licensors’. You warrant necessary rights and indemnify Morceauxnode B.V. against third-party claims.
New recordings. When you commission and pay for the job, you are generally producer under Dutch copyright law and holder of neighbouring rights on the phonogram, unless agreed otherwise in writing. The studio does not claim co-ownership of your masters after full payment.
Studio materials. Presets, templates and internal routings remain our property. We do not use your recordings for AI training or voice cloning without separate written consent.
References. We use your name, logo or audio in portfolio or social media only with written approval. More context: rights after a vocal session.
13. Personal data
We process personal data under the GDPR and our privacy policy. The contact form uses FormSubmit (US); see article 5 of the legal notice. Business clients supplying guest, artist or podcast data sign our data processing agreement where required.
14. Force majeure
In force majeure — for example grid failure outside our premises, pandemic measures, government action or failure of essential suppliers — obligations are suspended for as long as the event lasts. We inform you and offer a new date where reasonable. If performance is impossible within a reasonable time, either party may terminate and we refund amounts paid for services not yet performed.
15. Complaints and disputes
Send complaints in writing via [email protected] with description, quote reference and desired outcome. We acknowledge receipt and respond within a reasonable time, usually within 2 business days.
Consumers may use the EU ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Non-cross-border disputes are governed by Dutch law; consumers may also go to courts allowed by law. Business disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam district unless mandatory law says otherwise.
16. Changes and language
We may amend these terms; the version on the site on quote acceptance date applies to that job. Changes are published with date 14 October 2026.
The Dutch text is binding. If translations conflict, Dutch prevails. Questions? Contact Niels van Dijk or the team on about us.
